Members of a local vigilante group popularly known as Civilian JTF, and Nigerian troops on Tuesday, June 27, reportedly foiled a bomb attack in Maiduguri, Borno state capital. NAIJ.com gathered that about 5 suicide bombers on Tuesday night attempted to attack Mammanti village, around Jiddari Polo area of the Maiduguri metropolis.

According to reports the Civilian JTF, found dead bodies of bombers when a loud explosion was heard while on patrol.
The bodies of five suicide bombers, two male and three females were discovered about four Kilometers ahead of Mammanti village.
One of the bodies was disfigured following the explosion while the others were still fresh with injuries and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) strapped on their bodies.
The Civilian JTF disclosed that their target was supposedly Maiduguri Metropolis, but one of the IEDS exploded which killed all five bombers before they could infiltrate the town.
According to an earlier report by NAIJ.com, seven suicide bombers were unleashed on Maiduguri, the Borno state capital on Sunday, June 25, after a peaceful Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
About 16 people, including the attackers were killed while 13 others were injured.
Three of the suicide bombers attacked the University of Maiduguri, detonating explosives at different locations in the school, including the security office, where a personnel died.
